This book very loosely follows the life of Rachel Pomie Petit Pissaro, the mother of famed artist Camille Pissaro. While some characters are real, others are completely made up, so I would call this historical fiction. I enjoyed the story and the writing in this book. I would just warn anyone thinking of reading it, that the summaries and reviews tend to make it sound more exciting/dynamic, that it actually is. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
