We stayed at my brother's house for the weekend where we did fun things like paint/carve pumpkins and go to a Thriller parade. On game day, my little nephew had to keep the peace for us before we left the house. Isn't he a cutie?
We arrived at the stadium just as the opening kickoff was made. We had great seats (thanks, Erin!) and high hopes the game would be a good one! Unfortunately, those hopes didn't last too long for Chris. Poor guy! The Bengals crushed the Jets...it was sort of unreal. But Chris handled it well and was a very good sport about it. Maybe it helped that the Jets (like a slew of other teams) are having a less than stellar year.
We went to the game with one of my best friends from college. Since the game wasn't a nail biter like the Bengals all too often like to make them, we were able to catch up a bit as well. We also lucked out on the weather being pretty nice. We hadn't been thrilled with the 4:30 start time since it meant colder weather and made it impossible for us to get back to the city until Monday morning, but it ended up working out in the end. There really is nothing like spending time with friends at your favorite stadium...especially when the home team proves victorious!!
How did your football team play this weekend? Was it a 49-9 blowout like this one or a much closer match-up?
